Giving or receiving, the Network can help.
The Network supports planned giving in the Estes Valley by providing tools to nonprofits and connecting prospective donors to our local nonprofits.

Prospective donors
We help prospective donors plan and implement their gifts by:
- Offering private, confidential planned gift and estate planning counseling, including illustrations and proposals, free of charge
- Connecting potential donors with qualified legal and financial professionals, as well as planned gift management firms (foundations and trust companies)
To request a planned giving consultation, please email karen@epnonprofit.org
Nonprofits
We help nonprofits receive more planned gifts by:
- Educating nonprofit boards of directors about the importance of planned giving
- Hosting deep-dive, donor-focused education events for nonprofits to bring donors to 3x per year
To request a presentation for your board of directors meeting, please email cato@epnonprofit.org
Leave the legacy that does the most good.

These gifts cost you nothing now. You can change your beneficiaries at any time.
A Legacy Gift to the Estes Nonprofit Network strengthen Estes Valley nonprofits beyond your lifetime.

Gifts by Beneficiary Designation
Financial investments
Name the ENN as the beneficiary of your financial investments — the easiest way to give to the Estes Nonprofit Network.
You can name the Estes Nonprofit Network as the transfer-on-death beneficiary of a number of different types of assets, including retirement accounts, life insurance policies, certificates of deposit (CD’s), bank accounts, brokerage accounts, and real property.
Trusts and wills
These estate plans are a meaningful part of your estate. It takes just a few sentences to set up a gift. If you don’t have a will, you can create one by hiring an attorney or by using a low-cost or free online service. You can change your beneficiary later if you wish to do so.
Definitions of different kinds of gifts:
- A general bequest leaves ENN a gift of a stated sum of money in your will or trust, typically marketable stocks or cash.
- A residuary bequest leaves ENN of a percentage of the “rest, residue and remainder” of your estate after other bequests, debts and taxes have been paid.
- A specific bequest leaves ENN a specific dollar amount or stated fraction of your estate or a specified gift of property.
- A contingent bequest leaves ENN with a stated share of your estate, only if a spouse, partner, family member or other beneficiary does not survive you.
If you already have a will and would like to change it to leave the Estes Nonprofit Network a gift, an attorney can set up a simple codicil without having to write an entirely new will.
Life insurance or investments
Ask your insurer or investment firm for a beneficiary designation form, then complete and submit the form. Beneficiary forms often are available online.
