Giving Guest Business Partners are invested in this community and invite their customers to join them by rounding up at the register (or purchasing a donation-dedicated product). All of that “pocket change” becomes a big deal and is distributed to nonprofits providing critical services in the Estes Valley. Let’s make Estes a vibrant place worth visiting again…and again.

Nonprofits: Get more donations (without dedicating more resources!)
Free passive fundraising…
Need we say more?
OK, maybe just a little more! Since its beginning in 2022, the Giving Guest program has raised more than $36,000 for 40+ local nonprofits. This program is free to 501(c)(3) nonprofits serving the Estes Valley.
As a participating nonprofit, you’ll receive equal distributions from any donations dedicated to your sector in exchange for meeting two requirements: completing our annual economic survey and promoting the program. Then you’re free to use the donation wherever it serves your mission best because we believe in TRUST-BASED PHILANTHROPY.
That’s it!

What is required to receive funds?
This program is completely FREE to nonprofits. However, check disbursements are dependent upon two efforts that demonstrate your partnership:
- We require that your organization complete the 2025 Nonprofit Economic Impact survey in the fall of 2025.
The Economic Impact Report proves that our industry is a powerhouse, not only in the local economy but in the region. - Two promotional efforts that explain and celebrate how your organization benefits from Giving Guest. These can be via newspaper articles, newsletters and/or social media. The Giving Guest logo is provided in the Toolkit above. Please email karen@epnonprofit.org to brainstorm ways to promote your partnership in the program.
When are donations paid out?
Money will be paid out to participating nonprofits in December.
How do I sign up?
Registration happens annually in March. An eligible nonprofit:
- Is a 501(c)3 organization, and
- Has active programming serving the Estes Valley, and,
- Is in good standing with the Colorado Secretary of State
Send an email to info@epnonprofit.org if you have any questions and be sure you get our partner emails announcing registration.

“Would you like to round up for local nonprofits?”
Many visitors of Estes have deep, invested roots in their vacations here. Some visit summer after summer through multiple generations.
Any way you look at it, guests are proud to visit Estes Park — and many would love an opportunity to give back.
The Giving Guest program makes it easy. All you have to do is invite guests to round up at the register, sell a designated product supporting the program, or–if you have bigger ticket items like losing or rentals– invite them to donate a flat amount.
Feel free to direct visitors to this page to learn more, too!
Be proud of WHY you participate
When asking visitors to round up, consider having a few different “elevator pitches” ready to share. The more you can explain your why, the more likely visitors will see the impact and want to join in.
For example, you might:
Explain the connection to your brand
- Our business chooses to support the X nonprofit sector in Estes Park. The work of these nonprofits impact our community in ways that are especially meaningful to our staff and customers. Please join us.
- Our business chooses to support nonprofits in our community. It allows our customers to join us in making an impactful connection to local services we all use.
Share a tagline
- Join us in supporting local nonprofits.
- Support the place you love to stay and play.
- Connect with Estes Park by donating to local nonprofits at the register.
